Southfork.....the bunkhouse, morning
"Oh, um, that was just a friend," Randall replies nervously. "A friend from the last ranch I worked at."
"What exactly is it you came here to accomplish that you don't want your friend to ruin?"
Randall pauses for a moment as he dreams up an answer for Christopher. "I came here on sort of a mission," he finally says. "A mission to find myself."
"Not sure I understand," says Christopher.
Randall turns his back to him. "Christopher, a year ago, at the last ranch I worked at, I met this girl. Her name was Allison. I fell in love, really in love, for the first time in my life. I spent all my free time with her, and the more I was with her, the deeper in love I fell." He turns back to Christopher with tears in his eyes. "She was amazin', man. Beautiful, long blonde hair. Silky, fair skin. And the deepest, bluest eyes I'd ever seen. I wanted to marry her one day."
"So what happened?" Christopher asks.
"Another guy. You see, Allison obviously didn't love me as much as I did her. One day, I came back to my place and found her with him. I was devastated. Beat the crap out of him, and Allison left me. My friend.....the one I was talkin' to.....tried to help me. But I was a mess, man. I needed to get away from there, so I up and left. Drifted for a while, and then I saw your daddy's ad lookin' for a ranch hand, so I decided to come here and try and start over. Sort of find myself. That's the mission I'm on. To find out who I am and what I want out of life. My friend, he's still worried about me, so he wanted to come see how I was doin', but, him comin' here would just remind me of all the pain I just went through with Allison."
"I can understand that," says Christopher. "I've been through a similar experience."
"Then you know what I'm talkin' about. I'm sorry if you got some wrong idea."
"No, it's okay. Randall, if you ever need a friend to talk to....."
"Thanks, man. Means a lot."
"Listen, the reason I stopped by is, we were wonderin' if you had any plans for Christmas. If not, we'd like it very much if you'd come up to the house and spend it with us."
"I don't have any plans," Randall says. "Thanks, Christopher. I don't know what to say."
"Well, then, say yes."
Randall smiles. "Yes. I'd love to."
"Good," Christopher says. "Well, I have to run into town for a while, but I'll be back in a couple hours."
"Sure."
Christopher smiles, then leaves, closing the door behind him. After he's gone, a devious smile comes over Randall's face, his plan to fool Christopher with his sad story having worked.
The Krebbs ranch....
"Just a few seconds," Ray says, walking in. "Workin' awful hard, aren't ya?"
"I want the two guest rooms to be perfect for Charlie and Alex, Do you realize it's been almost eight months since I've seen my grandson? He's probably a foot taller by now."
"I have to admit, it sure will be nice havin' Charlie and the boy here for a few days. I'm lookin' forward to it about as much as you are."
"I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year," Jenna says.
"Me too. Probably more than I have in a long time."
The smile disappears from Jenna's face. "Because we're here?"
"That's part of it. But we're gonna have the whole family together, including Charlie and her son. And I think it'll be good for Charlie, too, bein' around a lot of people."
"So do I. Her first Christmas without Phillip. You know, Ray, sometimes I feel guilty because I didn't go to New York and spend as much time with her after Phillip was killed as I should have."
"Now, Jenna, you know Charlie didn't want that," Ray says.
"I know. Well, we're just going to try to make this visit perfect. And this Christmas."
Galleria Mall, Dallas......
"I'm really glad you came shoppin' with me," Ann says. "And that we had our little talk last night."
"So am I."
"And that moment when you called me 'mom', well, that was about the happiest moment I've had since you came back to Southfork from Mexico after the kidnappin'."
Emma smiles. "It just felt.....right.....calling you that."
"I'm glad it did," Ann says.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Of course. You can ask me anything."
"Would it bother you too much if I dropped by Daddy's for a while on Christmas? When we had lunch the other day, he seemed so sad. So alone. And he really is, except for Grandmother."
Ann looks at her daughter. "No, I think that'd be a nice gesture. Harris has done some pretty despicable things, but, he's payin' for 'em now."
"It feels so weird to call him Daddy now that I know he isn't my biological father. But it would feel weird not to call him that, too."
"I know," Ann says as she stops in front of a certain store. "Emma, why don't you go over and sit on that bench and wait for me? I wanna go in here for a minute."
"I'll come with you," Emma says.
"Oh no, you can't. I won't be long."
Emma smiles and nods. Ann walks into the store and Emma walks over to the edge of the floor and looks over the rail at the beautiful, enormous Christmas tree erected in the middle of the mall. At that moment, her cell phone rings. Taking the phone from her pocket, she looks at the caller ID, then answers. "Hello?"
"Hello, Emma, it's Cliff Barnes," says the voice on the other end of the line.
"Oh, hello," Emma says. "What do you want?"
"Well, I was just hoping to convince you to have lunch with me one day soon. Maybe the day before Christmas?"
"I really don't know."
"I'd really love it and appreciate it, Emma. Please. Just lunch."
Emma is silent as she thinks for a moment. "Okay. Sure. The day before Christmas."
"Wonderful. How about Reunion Tower? One o'clock?"
"That's fine. I really have to go," Emma ends the call quickly as Ann returns with yet another shopping bag.
"Well, all set," Ann says. "Was that Lucas on the phone?"
"Yeah, it was," Emma lies. "Just wanted to see how our shopping was going."
"I dunno about you, but I'm about ready for some lunch," says Ann. "Let's head to the food court."
Southfork.....that night
"Christopher," he says.
"John Ross."
"Cold night," John Ross says, walking over to his cousin.
"Yeah."
John Ross sighs. "Look, Christopher, we haven't had much chance to really talk much lately. Not since...."
"Not since the barbecue when you dropped your little bombshell about Elena's baby on me," Christopher interrupts.
"John Ross, you've never done anything for anything that didn't benefit you first," says Christopher. "You broke into Elena's house and stole those DNA results, then you took great pleasure rubbing it in my face at the barbecue."
"And what did Elena do? She somehow stole my DNA to have that test done in the first place, then she had no intention of tellin' either one of us that I'm the father of that baby. We'd both still be in the dark if I hadn't done a little snoopin'."
"Well, believe what you want. I gotta go or I'll be late for my date. I'm takin' Amanda dancin' tonight. How's your love life these days?" John Ross smiles. "See ya." He turns and leaves as Christopher watches him, a look of anger and disgust on his face.
As Christopher watches John Ross get into his car and walk away, Emma walks out of the house. "Christopher," she says.
"Hey."
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah, everything's fine," Christopher replies.
"I was wondering......can I talk to you?" Emma asks.
"Sure. What's up?"
"It's about Cliff Barnes."
"What about him?" Christopher asks.
"He called me today, and he wants me to have lunch with him. I told him I would."
Christopher sighs in frustration. "Oh, Emma....."
"I know what he did to you and to Pamela. That's why this is so hard for me. He said he wants to get to know me. I just wanted to ask your opinion."
"Emma, I'm sorry, but if you're looking for an objective opinion on Cliff Barnes, then you've come to the wrong person."
"Well, could you at least tell me a little about him?" Emma asks. "Please, Christopher. I wouldn't ask, but you're about the only Ewing I thought I could ask. Besides, you probably know him better than anyone else in this family."
Christopher hesitates before speaking. "Okay, you wanna know a little about Cliff Barnes? I'll tell you. Cliff Barnes was my uncle. I say WAS because after what that man did to me, I will never consider him a part of my family again. I loved him. When I was a kid I idolized him, and he was real good to me. I honestly don't know what happened to him. He was always angry and bitter at the Ewings for what he thought they did to his father, to his family. And in some ways, the way he felt was justified. Uncle J.R. tried to destroy him many times, but none of that is any excuse for the crimes he committed. He had that rig blown up with his pregnant daughter on it. That's the kind of man Cliff Barnes is."
"I wouldn't bet on it, Emma," says Christopher. "You want my honest advice? Stay away from Cliff Barnes." After these words, Christopher turns and walks back into the house, leaving a confused Emma alone on the patio.
Southfork.....the next day
Ann comes down the stairs at Southfork the next day and heads into the living room.
"Yes," a man's voice says on the other end of the line. "I saw this number on my caller ID. May I help you?"
"Yes, I think prob'ly you can," Ann says. "Is this Dusty Farlow?"
"Yes. Who is this?"
"Mr. Farlow, I'm very happy to get to speak with you. My name is Ann Ewing. I'm Bobby Ewing's wife."
"Bobby's wife? I don't understand. Is anything wrong?"
"No, no. Nothin's wrong, Mr. Farlow. It's just that, I'm a very good friend of Sue Ellen's. And she talks about you a lot. In fact, she'd very much like to see you again."
Meanwhile....
"Mr. Farlow, are you there?" Ann asks.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I'm here," Dusty says. "I was just surprised to hear Sue Ellen's name after all this time. How is she? Is she alright?"
"She's fine. She just gets to talkin' about you sometimes, and I really think it would do her good if she could see you. Maybe if possible, you could come to Dallas sometime soon?"
"I'm really not sure. How did you track me down, anyway?"
"It wasn't hard. So how about it? I'm sure Bobby would enjoy seein' you again, too, after all these years."
"I really don't know, Mrs. Ewing. I haven't set foot in Dallas since my father died. That was a long time ago. I'd have to think about it."
"I understand. But it would be nice."
"Thank you for calling," Dusty says. "I have to go." Dusty puts down his phone quickly. "Sue Ellen," he says.
Back at Southfork....
The Krebbs Ranch....
"What are you doing?" She asks.
"Just givin' my girl some love," Lucas replies.
"You're sure in a good mood today."
"Of course I am. My sister and my nephew are comin' for a visit. They'll be here almost two weeks."
"So you and Charlie are pretty close?" Emma asks.
"Yeah, sort of. I guess as close as possible, considering our age difference. She was fifteen when I was born. But she was always there for me when I was growing up. She was one of my heroes. More like a second mom at times than a big sister. Christmas is gonna be really hard for her this year, losing her husband and all."
"How long has it been?"
"Phillip died last January 30," Lucas replies. "I was still in business school then. I remember the night Mom called to tell me. I felt terrible."
"How old is Charlie's son again?"
Lucas sighs. "Let's see, Alex is.......he turned fifteen in August."
"Poor kid. Must be horrible to have lost his father at that age."
"Yeah," Lucas says sadly.
"Yeah, that's me," he says with a smile. "I think I was eight in that pic."
"Awww, you were so cute," Emma says. Then she looks at him with a smile. "You still are, but in a different way."
Lucas smiles back, then kisses her. At that moment, they hear someone at the front door. "That's them," Lucas says. He and Emma walk into the foyer just as Ray, Jenna, Charlie, and Charlie's teenage son Alex walk into the house.
"LUCAS!" Charlie says happily as she hugs him. "Oh, God, it's so good to see you, little brother!"
"Hey, it's great to see you, too, sis. How was your trip?"
"And it's great having you here," Jenna says.
"Sure is," Ray agrees.
Charlie looks around the house. "Wow. I never thought I'd ever set foot in this house again. Place looks a lot different."
"Yeah, it does," says Ray. "The place has had a couple other owners since I sold it. It's been through some changes and modernization."
Emma, standing beside Lucas, clears her throat to get his attention. "Oh," he says. "I'm sorry. Charlie, I want you to meet someone very special to me. This is Emma Ryland. My girlfriend."
"Charlie, I've heard so much about you," Emma says, shaking hands with Charlie.
"Nice to meet the girl who finally lassoed my little brother."
"And this is my nephew, Alex," Lucas says.
"Hi, Alex," Emma says.
The boy simply nods and doesn't say anything.
"You're awfully quiet," Lucas says to him. "It's not like you."
"Upstairs," Ray says. "Second door on the left. I'll show ya."
"That's okay. I can find it." Alex picks up his suitcase and heads up the stairs as Charlie, Ray, Jenna, Lucas, and Emma watch him with serious expressions.
"I'm sorry, everyone," Charlie says.
"Charlie, is he alright?" Jenna asks.
"It's been a very rough year for him. Especially now, at Christmas."
"Well, we're just gonna have to all be a little patient with the boy," Ray says. "Spend some time with him."
"Bein' here with the family should help," Lucas says. However, the look on Charlie's face betrays her concern for her son.
Southfork....late afternoon
"Well, I came to see if you needed any help with Christmas," Sue Ellen says as the women sit on the sofa.
"I could use all the help I can get."
"Have you and Bobby heard from any of the scattered branches of the Ewing family? Any idea how many to expect?"
"Gary and Val definitely," Ann says. "Lucy is comin', and Gary and Val's son Bobby. Their daughter Elizabeth is a maybe. James, Debra Lynn, and their kids are gonna be here, and Ray, Jenna, Jenna's daughter Charlie, and her son. And of course you know everyone else who'll be here."
Sue Ellen smiles. "Sounds wonderful. You're gonna have a full house."
"Oh yes we are. Oh, and Bobby also invited Randall, the new ranch hand."
"Then you are gonna need some help," Sue Ellen says.
"Sue Ellen, there's one more who's comin', and I wanted to check with you first, to see if it would be a problem. But, uh, Bobby also invited Jillian Cryder. Are you gonna be okay with that? If not, I can talk to Bobby and we can...."
"I'll be fine."
"Are you sure? Honey, if not, we can just ask her not to come."
"Ann, I would never hear of it," says Sue Ellen. "Jillian is a part of this family. She's John Ross's half-sister, and I'm just gonna have to get use to that."
"Oh? Is Bobby having problems because of that?"
"He hasn't said anything. But I've been married to him long enough to tell. I can tell when he's around her. It bothers him. He had enough dislike for Harris, but Cliff? After what that man did to this family, especially to Christopher, Bobby purely hates him. Especially since Cliff is out of prison because of Emma. Sometimes I think if Bobby could get away with it, he'd kill Cliff Barnes."
Sue Ellen nods. "I understand. I have lived through many more years of the Barnes-Ewing feud than you have. I've seen that fight destroy lives, my own included. I can also understand how Bobby feels."
"So can I," Ann says.
Amanda's apartment.....evening
"What the hell are you doing here?" She asks. "Do you realize if John Ross sees you....."
"Don't worry. I checked. John Ross is still hard at work at Westar. Prob'ly tryin' to make all the money he can before he closes up shop for Christmas. Of course I wouldn't put past him to have the company open on Christmas Day."
Amanda gets her keys out, unlocks her door, and she and Cliff walk into the apartment. "What do you want?"
"It's time we stepped up our efforts to make John Ross talk," Cliff says.
"How?"
"That's your job to figure it out. But a new year is coming, and I wanna start 2015 off right by taking down the Ewings and reclaiming what was stolen from me......my company."
"I'm doing my best," Amanda says.
"I don't think you are. I know you're starting to develop feelings for John Ross, and you're also developing a soft spot for Sue Ellen and Bobby. But you have a job to do. A job for ME, for which I'm paying you very handsomely, I might add. And I want results, Amanda. Soon. By new years. DO anything to have to do, but just get John Ross to talk."
"What makes you think he'll share secrets like that with me?
"Again, that's YOUR problem. I don't care how ya do it, just DO it. Get the guy drunk, drug him, or marry him if ya have to. But get me the evidence I need that the Ewings framed me for J.R.'s murder." Cliff walks to the door and starts to leave, then pauses and turns back to Amanda. "I'm giving you until the day after new years." After another brief pause, he leaves.
After Cliff is gone, Amanda starts to cry.
Southfork....
Christopher comes down the stairs at Southfork that night and as he's about to head into the living room, the front doorbell rings. He pauses a moment, then walks over and opens the door to find Gary and Valene Ewing standing there with a young man of about Christopher's height.
"Uncle Gary! Aunt Val!" He says happily. "Come in."
"Hey, Christopher," Gary says as he and Val walk into the house.
"And you must be Bobby," Christopher says.
"That's right," the young man says, shaking hands with his cousin.
At that moment, Bobby comes in from the living room. "Well, I don't believe it," he says happily upon seeing his brother and sister-in-law. "I didn't think y'all were comin' in until tomorrow."
"It was Gary's idea," Val says.
"Well you sure did surprise me," says Bobby. "Come on in." Bobby then looks at the young man standing before him. "And my nephew and namesake," he says. "Gary, Val, this guy isn't a kid anymore."
"No, he sure isn't," Val agrees.
"I hope you're all hungry, because dinner's almost ready."
"Bobby, to tell you the truth.....I'm famished," Val says.
"Good. Let's go in the living room and get comfortable."
"I'll take your bags to the guest room," Christopher says.
"Thanks," Gary says.
"You two look even better than when you were here for the barbecue," says Bobby.
Val smiles at the compliment. "Bobby, have you talked to Lucy? When is she gonna be arriving?"
"Not until sometime in the afternoon Christmas Eve, I'm afraid. Mitch Cooper's mother passed away, and when Lucy heard, she wanted to go to the funeral, so she's gonna be comin' straight here from Biloxi. Hey, what about Betsy?"
"Betsy.....or ELIZABETH.....as she now prefers to be called, will hopefully be here tomorrow evening," Gary says.
Bobby smiles. "Good. It's gonna be great havin' the whole family together for Christmas."
The Krebbs Ranch......the next morning
"Well, good morning," Jenna says.
"Morning. I didn't mean to sleep so late."
Jenna smiles at her daughter. "It's alright, we let you sleep in. You were pretty exhausted after your flight yesterday."
"Ray took him fishing at the pond."
"Is that old pond still back in the woods?"
"Yes, it is," Jenna says. "Ray thought it would do Alex some good to get out in the fresh country air after being in the city for so long."
"I hope so," Charlie says with sadness as she pours herself a cup of coffee.
Jenna's smile fades away as she notices her daughter's somber mood. "Charlie, is anything wrong? Alex seems so....moody. So distant. Nothing at all like himself."
"He's that way all the time now, Mom. It's been a really hard year on both of us, and Alex certainly hasn't made it any easier. He started hanging out with a bad crowd at school this year, and I worry that he's experimenting with things."
"Drugs?" Jenna asks.
"I sure hope not. But, I worry."
"I certainly know how that feels," Jenna says. "I remember when you went through a similar rebellious period when you were just about Alex's age."
"I don't think I was ever that bad."
Jenna laughs. "Are you kidding me? Charlie, you were so mouthy and rebellious that we had to send you away to boarding school."
Charlie takes a sip of her coffee. "I guess what I'm going through with Alex is payback, then."
Jenna reaches out and touches her hand. "I think it's normal after what Alex has been through. He's fifteen, he lost his father not even a year ago. He's a good boy. Give him time. I'm sure he'll come around."
"I hope so, Mom," Charlie says.
Southfork....
"Mornin', Mr. Ewin'."
"How's it goin'?"
"Great. Mr. Ewin', I just wanna say I really appreciate the invite to spend Christmas with your family. I really didn't expect that."
"Good," Bobby says with a smile. "Now, I think I'm gonna saddle up and ride out to Two Stick Pasture, see if that creek's dried up anymore. Care to ride along?"
"Yes, sir, I'd love to, if you don't have somethin' else fer me to do right now."
"I think you can spare the time. Besides, Christopher went in to town, and I'd love some company."
Randall smiles. "Aight then," he says. "I'll saddle the horses."
A cemetery in Biloxi, Mississippi.....early afternoon
Family and friends gather under a tent on a cold, blustery December day in Biloxi to say goodbye to Arliss Cooper. As Arliss's family (Mitch, his wife Sharon, two teenaged children, and Afton and Pamela) listen, the minister steps forward.
As the minister speaks his words, Afton wipes her tears with a hankerchief, as Mitch's mind remembers back to the past, to wise words of advice his mother gave him through the years. Sitting next to her mother, Pamela's mind wanders back to her childhood, and the many Christmases she spent at her grandmother's home in Biloxi.
The minister concludes with a prayer: "Heavenly Father, we thank you for the glorious hope and for the great consolation concerning those who sleep in Jesus as believers in Christ. that our Lord Jesus Christ has prepared a place for those who have placed their faith in Him, and that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
"Mitch," Lucy says.
Mitch is caught off guard by the voice of his former wife. He turns around to face her. "Lucy. Lucy, my God."
"Mitch, I'm so sorry about your mama," Lucy says, hugging him.
"Thank you. Thank you for being here."
"Arliss was always very kind to me when we were married. I'll always remember her for that. When I heard, I wanted to be here."
"It's nice to finally meet the woman responsible for finally settling this guy down," Lucy says.
"And, Lucy, these are our children, Daniel and Jessica."
Lucy turns around and beside her stand a tall, handsome young man with dark hair, and a beautiful young girl with lighter brown hair. "Hello," Lucy says.
"Lucy, it was very nice meeting you," Sharon says, somewhat short. "Mitch, we should really be getting over to your mother's house. And it's freezing out here."
"Yes," Mitch says. "Lucy, again, I thank you for coming. It means a lot to me, and I know it would to Mama, as well. You're more than welcome to come over to the house and have some lunch. There's more than enough food neighbors and friends have brought over."
Lucy smiles. "Thanks, but I really have to be getting back to the hotel and pack. I'm flying to Dallas first thing in the morning for Christmas."
"Oh, well, all my best to your family," says Mitch. "And have a Merry Christmas."
"Thanks, same to you," Lucy says. She smiles at the family, then turns and walks away. Mitch and Sharon then walk over to Afton and Pamela.
"First.....second," Jessica Cooper says. "Maybe she was hot back in the day, but, I think Daddy could've done way better."
Daniel smiles at his sister's snide comment, then walks away.
The Krebbs Ranch
"Nah, I was just messing around," the boy answers.
His nephew's sullen mood worries Lucas. "Alex, I'm real glad you and your mom came for Christmas. Wait til you see Southfork. Man that place is so grand. If you want, I'll take you over there this afternoon and we can go riding."
"Riding?"
"Sure. Horseback riding."
"All the more reason to go. I can teach you."
"No thanks."
Lucas looks at the boy for a moment. He sighs. "Alex, look, I know you've been through a really rough year. You and I have always been pretty tight, so, if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here for you."
"Thanks, but I'm fine," Alex says. He ignores Lucas, grabs the basketball and starts shooting again.
A concerned Lucas shakes his head, then turns and walks to the house, where he finds Charlie standing on the porch. "Lucas, don't take it personally," she says. "Alex is that way with almost everyone lately. Except for his new friends back home."
"I know. So do I. I just hope being here and out of that city will help him."
Lucas looks at his sister. "You talk like you're gonna stick around longer than a couple weeks."
"Maybe," Charlie says. "Maybe," she repeats.
The Ryland Home....that night
"Mother?" He says.
Harris takes the photo and looks at it. "Oh, yeah. That Christmas pageant Emma was in. What grade was she in then?"
"Third," replies Judith. "She was sooo precious in that little angel outfit."
Judith fights back tears. "I miss her, Harris. I miss my Emma."
"I know, so do I."
"I made a big mistake, Harris. Not seein' Emma after the surgery. But I just couldn't face her after you told me that vile story about not bein' her father. I lost that girl because of you and that bitch you married."
"Now you listen to me," Harris says, kneeling beside his mother. "I miss Emma, too. But she said she might stop by on Christmas for a little while. You can see her then."
"That's not like havin' her here, in this house. Now she's out there on that Ewin' ranch, her mind bein' poisoned against us by Ann and the rest of that bunch." Judith looks up at her son. "Just get out."
"Mother...."
"I said get out, Harris."
He looks at his mother for a moment, then sighs. "Aight," he says. He stands and starts to leave the room.
"I blame you for this," Judith says.
Harris stops in the doorway and turns back to look at his mother. "What?"
"I blame you for the reason that Emma is not here. If you hadn't told Ann that you're not her father....."
"Now you're just bein' ridiculous," Harris interrupts. "If I hadn't told Ann the truth, then Emma would've died. She needed that kidney transplant."
"Just get out," says Judith. Harris looks at his mother for a moment, then walks out of the room, closing the door behind him. After he's gone, Judith takes her cell phone from her purse and pulls up her contacts. She stops on Emma's name. She stares at Emma's name for a moment, then calls her number. After several rings, it goes to voice mail. Rather than leave a message, Judith hangs up.
Southfork....
"You have GOT to be John Ross," Bobby II says with a smile.
"That's right. And you would be......"
"I'm your cousin, Bobby."
"Oh. Uncle Gary's son," John Ross says, uninterested.
"Yep," Bobby II says.
"So how long y'all stayin'?" John Ross asks as he opens the refrigerator and takes out the milk.
"Couple days," John Ross says, as if irritated by his cousin's answer. "Hmmm....couple days."
Christopher and Lucas walk into the kitchen at that point. "Well, what's goin' on here?" Christopher asks with a smile. "Looks like none of us can sleep."
"Is, umm, he always like that?" Bobby II asks.
Oh, no," replies Lucas. "Sometimes he's worse."
The cousins laugh at Lucas's comment.
"Just don't let him get to you," says Christopher.
"My dad kinda warned me. Said John Ross was a lot like his father."
Christopher smiles. "Bobby, we're real glad you could come. It's about time this family got together and got to know one another."
"I agree. I've always wanted to, and always been curious about my relatives, but, my dad, he never wanted to come back here. Wouldn't talk about it much."
"It was the same with my dad," Lucas says. "Or, my stepdad, Ray. He raised me. But bein' the half-brother, he always felt like an outsider around here."
"So did my dad," Bobby II says.
Christopher sighs. "I guess Uncle J.R. was to blame for the way Uncle Gary and Uncle Ray felt," he says sadly. "If my dad hadn't stood up to him, he'd have probably been driven away from here, too."
Bobby II and Lucas look at Christopher, then exchange mournful looks between them.
Southfork....the next day....Christmas Eve
Bobby comes down the stairs Christmas Eve morning.
"Mornin'," he says.
"Mornin', Bobby," Gary says.
"Beautiful, itn't it?" Bobby asks, looking at the ranch.
Gary takes in a deep breath. "Gorgeous as always," he says as Christopher, Lucas, and Bobby II come out of the house.
"Mornin' Dad, Uncle Gary," says Christopher.
"Where you fellas headed?" Bobby asks.
"We're goin' out for a ride," Lucas says.
"Yeah, thought we'd show cousin Bobby some of the ranch," Christopher adds.
"We won't," says Christopher.
Bobby and Gary watch their sons as they head off toward the stables. Bobby smiles with pride. "Just look at 'em, Gary. Our boys. Together for the very first time."
"Look good together, don't they?"
"Yeah they do."
"Bobby, I'm real glad you asked us here for Christmas. Means a lot."
Bobby smiles, "Gary, it means a lot to me to have the whole family together. I just wish we'd done this years ago."
"So do I, but, not sure how that would've worked."
"Yeah," Bobby says sadly. "I know how you and Val felt about J.R."
"I'm sorry, Bobby. I know you loved him. But, I can't get past the fact that, if it hadn't been for J.R., Val, Lucy and I could've been a family. And I don't think Val will ever forgive him for that."
"I know," Bobby says, nodding as he places a hand on his brother's shoulder. Before either of them can say another word, a car drives up and comes to a stop in the parking area behind Bobby's car. Bobby and Gary watch as J.R.'s oldest son, James Beaumont, his wife Debra Lynn, son Jimmy, and daughter Ashley get out of the car. Bobby smiles widely as he walks over to them. "James," he says.
"Goin' great, James. Debra Lynn, great to see you."
"Hello, Bobby, it's good to see you, too," says James's beautiful wife, Debra Lynn.
"I can't believe it," says Bobby. "Ashley, last time I saw you, you were about ten, and Jimmy, I think you were about fourteen."
"I was fifteen, Uncle Bobby," the young man corrects.
"Oh, sorry," Bobby says. "James, you remember Gary, don't you?"
"Well, sure," James says. "We met when Miss Ellie died."
"Yes, we did. That was a long time ago."
"Sure was. So how's everyone? Where's John Ross?" James asks.
"He's in the house somewhere," Bobby replies. "Prob'ly still asleep."
"Actually, Bobby, he's not," says Gary. "He left a little while ago. I heard him tell Sue Ellen he was headin' into town to pick up a girl named Amanda."
"Oh, yeah. John Ross's new girlfriend."
"New girlfriend?" James asks. "What happened? Last I heard, John Ross was married to Pamela Barnes."
Bobby smiles. "I see you and John Ross haven't talked in a while. It's a long story. Let's go in the house and I'll fill ya in."
The Cooper home....Biloxi, Mississippi
"Pamela?" Afton says. "Is everything alright?"
"Mom, I still can't reach Tripp. I'm worried about him. He sounded very disappointed when I told him I was spending Christmas here in Biloxi with the family."
"Sweety, I'm sure he's fine."
"This is a hard day for ALL of us. It's our first Christmas without your grandmother."
Pamela sighs. "Mom, I think I'm gonna see if I can get a flight to Dallas."
"Pamela, it's Christmas Eve," Afton says. "There's no way you're gonna be able to get a flight to ANYWHERE today."
"I have to try." Pamela takes her cell phone out again, Googles the number for the local airport, and dials the number.
Frustrated with her daughter's willingness to leave her family and head back to Dallas to hold that McKay boy's hand, Afton walks out of the room. She starts back into the living room, but pauses when she notices what appears to be an argument between Mitch and Sharon. Their son Daniel gets up from his seat on the sofa, grabs his jacket, and walks out of the house. Realizing that something is wrong in her brother's family, Afton follows her nephew out and finds Daniel sitting on the porch swing. "It's cold," she says.
"Yeah. I like it, though," Daniel says. .
"Daniel, is something going on between your mother and father?" Afton asks.
"What's going on?"
"Why don't you ask your brother? I'm just their son. I'm not supposed to know anything about my own parents getting a divorce."
Afton looks at the boy in shock. "A divorce?"
"That's right, Aunt Afton," Daniel says. "I overheard them talking a couple weeks ago, before Grandma got sick. After twenty years, my mom and dad have decided to call it quits. I heard Dad say they weren't gonna tell us until after the holidays were over. Guess they didn't wanna spoil our Christmas, as if Grandma dying hasn't already done that."
"Daniel....I'm.....I don't know what to say. I'm sorry."
"Do me a favor, Aunt Afton?"
"Of course. Anything," Afton says.
"Don't say anything to Mom or Dad about me telling you this. I guess Dad'll tell you when he's ready. Just like he'll tell me and Jess when they're ready."
"Jessica doesn't know?"
"She hasn't got a clue. I've adjusted to it. But it's gonna be hard on her when she finds out." Daniel stands to his feet. "I'm goin' for a walk. I need to get away from them for a while."
"Alright, sweety," Afton says as Pamela walks onto the porch.
"Mom," Pamela says. "I got a flight."
"You're kidding. On Christmas Eve?"
"Yeah, they had a cancellation just a little while ago. I have to pack."
A sad look crosses Afton's face as her daughter goes back into the house. She turns and watches her teenage nephew walking down the street away from the house, her mind still trying to process the news that her once happily married brother was getting divorced.
Back in Dallas.....the Ryland Home
"Emma," he says.
"May I come in?"
"Of course you may." Emma walks into the house and Harris closes the door behind her. "I'm so happy you came by, and your grandma will be, too."
"Harris, who's that at the door?" Judith asks as she walks into the foyer. She stops short when she sees Emma standing beside Harris. "Emma? Oh, Emma."
"Hello, Grandmother," Emma says.
Judith walks over to her. "I am so happy to see you."
"I'm happy to see you, too. I brought you both a Christmas gift." Emma hands both Harris and Judith their gifts.
"Thank ya, sweetheart," Harris says. "Yours is in the livin' room under the tree."
"We debated whether or not to even put up a tree this year," Judith says, she and Harris following Emma into the living room. "We were hopin' you would come by."
"I can't stay. I'm expected back at Southfork. But I just wanted to drop by and bring you those gifts."
Judith walks to the tree, reaches down, and picks up two small boxes wrapped in red and green paper. She hands them to Emma. "To you from me," she says.
Emma reaches out and takes the boxes. "Thank you."
Harris walks to the tree and picks up two larger boxes wrapped in blue paper. "Here. These are from me," he says, handing Emma the two gifts.
"Thanks. I really have to go."
"Won't you stay for some eggnog?" Judith asks.
"No. I have to be going," Emma says. "I'm expected at Southfork."
"Thank you for the lovely gift, Emma," Judith says, kissing the young woman on the cheek.
Emma pauses a moment as she looks at Judith and Harris, then turns and walks out. They watch as she leaves the house, and Judith starts to cry. Harris puts his arms around his mother. "It's alright, Mother," he says. "Least she came by. That's a start."
Southfork.....later
"How'd it go?" He asks.
"Fine. They looked so sad when I left."
"It'll be okay," Lucas says. "If you want, why don't you drop by there again tomorrow?"
"I don't know, Lucas. I still can't get past the fact that Harris Ryland lied to me all those years. It was so different from your situation with Bobby and Ray. Harris deliberately kept me away from my mother. He lied to her and to me and to everyone about me being his daughter. Even Judith didn't know. I'm not sure I can ever really get past that and forgive him. I thought seeing them today would help, but it just made me feel worse."
"Come on," Lucas says, putting his arm around her. "Let's go join the family. Everybody's waiting." As Lucas and Emma start to head into the living room to join the others, the front door opens and Lucy walks in, carrying a bag full of presents.
"Hey," Lucy says happily as she walks into the foyer and closes the door.
"Hey, Lucy," Lucas says, giving his cousin a hug. "Come on in. Everybody's in the living room."
"Charlie, I'm so happy you were able to come and join us for Christmas," Ann tells her.
"So am I," Bobby, putting his arm around Charlie's shoulder. "Means a lot to me that you could be here, kid."
Charlie manages a half-hearted smile. "Thanks. It means a lot to me to be here, too, with all of you. So many familiar faces from my childhood I haven't seen in years."
"Like mine?" Christopher asks as he walks up behind Charlie.
"Oh, Christopher!" Charlie says happily as she hugs him.
"Charlie, great to see you again."
"You too. Just look at you. Bobby, your son sure grew up to be a handsome man. What happened to that cute little boy I use to know?"
Christopher smiles. "He grew up. Just like you."
"Randall, hey," Bobby says. "Glad you could make it. Please, come in and make yourself at home."
"Thank ya, Mr. Ewin'," Randall says. The young man nervously walks in.
"I thought going to see them on Christmas, would help."
"But it didn't?" Ann asks.
"I feel even more confused. Angry, hurt, confused......and sorry for them."
"Emma, I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you somethin' that would help. But I just can't forgive Harris for what he did to me. I don't know if I'll ever be able to."
Emma turns and looks at her mother. "I have to ask you something."
"Sure."
"I know how the Ewings feel about Cliff Barnes," Emma says. "I know all about the feud. But you've never once told me how you feel, except for telling me to stay away from him. But he's my biological father. How do you feel about that?"
"That's a hard one, " Ann says. "Emma, I don't know. After what Cliff Barnes did to Christopher and Pamela.....that man's a monster. I know there's been a lot of bad done on both sides of the Barnes-Ewing feud. But no Ewing has EVER sunk as low as Cliff did, blowin' up that rig with his pregnant daughter on it."
Meanwhile, Jimmy watches Randall as he moves around the room. When he sees Randall standing alone, Jimmy walks over to him.
"I could say the same about you."
"Let's go somewhere we can talk." Randall nods, then follows Jimmy out of the room. They walk onto the patio. "What are you doing here?" Jimmy asks.
"Curious about what?"
"About this fam'ly you told me about. Just so happened I was lookin' for work, and lo and behold, I ran across Bobby Ewin's ad for a ranch hand. I applied, and he hired me."
Jimmy looks at Randall suspiciously. "Sure that's the only reason?"
"Now what other reason could there be?"
"Maybe you plannin' on takin' the Ewings for a ride," says Jimmy.
"Why should you care?"
"I care because they're my family, dude."
Randall looks at Jimmy and smiles. "Your fam'ly. The fam'ly that basically has had nothin' to do with you until now. You told me yourself, how many times in your life did you ever see your own grandfather? Just a few? What kinda fam'ly is that?"
"I don't know what you're up to comin' here like this....."
"Calm down, Jimbo," Randall says. "Not up to anything. I was just real curious about these rich Ewin's you told me about. Maybe we should get back in there. Wouldn't want your Uncle Bobby or your daddy seein' us out here talkin' and wonderin' how we know each other, now would we?" Randall smiles, then turns and walks back into the house, leaving Jimmy with a worried look on his face. As Randall walks back into the house, he almost bumps into Jimmy's sister, Ashley Beaumont. "Oh, 'scuse me," he says with a smile.
Randall smiles.
"I'm Ashley. Ashley Beaumont. Are you part of the family? Please say no."
"Nah, I'm just a ranch hand. Randall McCoy."
"A ranch hand?" Ashley asks.
"Yeah. Mr. Ewin' was nice enough to invite me to spend today with his family. 'Scuse me. Real nice meetin' you, Ashley Beaumont."
"Nice meeting you, too, Randall McCoy," Ashley says as Randall walks away.
He meets Emma as he walks back into the living room, and she gives him an angry look.
"Wow," Ashley says to Emma as she walks by her. "He's REALLY cute. I bet he has a girlfriend."
Emma looks at the young girl. "I don't think you have anything to worry about there," she says.
Meanwhile, Ray and Lucy finally have a moment to chat alone. "So, how'd it go in Mississippi?" Ray asks her. "Did you get to see Mitch?"
Lucy smiles. "Kids seemed nice enough. But I could tell.....his wife's a real bitch."
Ray laughs. "Could it be, you're just still feelin' somethin' for Mitch and his wife just rubs ya the wrong way?"
The smile fades from Lucy's face. "Mitch was my first real love. Oh, there were a couple others before him. Mainly Kit Mainwaring. And there've been a few after Mitch. But you know what they say, you never truly get over that first one. And to be honest, Ray, seeing him with his wife and those two beautiful teenagers......I felt jealous. Not so much of her being Mitch's wife, but more so, because she's the mother of his children. Something I always wanted, but could never give him."
Ray puts his arm around Lucy's shoulder in an attempt to comfort her.
John Ross walks into the living room with a glass of wine, and James approaches him. "John Ross, how's it goin'?" James asks.
"Fine, big brother. How are things with you?"
"Never better, actually. Ummm, John Ross, I'm real sorry I wasn't able to come to J.R.'s funeral. I was workin' out of the country and I couldn't get back in time."
"It's fine, James," John Ross says.
"John Ross, I've got a question. Last time I heard, you were married to Pamela Barnes, and now I hear you're getting divorced. What gives?"
"Well, I'm sure sorry to hear that," says James. "But I'm happy to see you're not suffering for female companionship."
John Ross looks at his brother and smiles, then he sees Jillian walk in. "Well, well, look who's here," John Ross says, looking at her.
James looks over and sees Jillian, too. "Who's that? Another one of your 'lady friends'?"
"James, there's come with me. There's somebody I want you to meet." John Ross walks over to Jill, with James following. "Well, Jill," he says. "I'm glad you could come."
"John Ross," she says coldly.
"Allow me to introduce the two of you," says John Ross. "James, this is our half-sister, Jillian Cryder. Jill, our big brother, James Beaumont."
"Our.....our sister?" James asks, surprised.
"Hello, James," Jillian says, extending her hand.
"Umm, hello," James says. "John Ross, I don't understand."
"Jillian.....is J.R.'s daughter," says John Ross. "I found out a few months ago."
James smiles. "Well, what can I say? Welcome to the family."
On the other side of the room, Amanda stands by the fireplace looking at the portrait of Jock Ewing above the mantle when Bobby II walks over.
"No," Amanda replies. "I'm here with John Ross,"
"He's a lucky guy. I'm Bobby Ewing, John Ross's cousin."
"Bobby Ewing? Are you another son of John Ross's Uncle Bobby?"
"No. I'm a nephew. My father is Bobby's brother Gary," Bobby II says as John Ross walks over and hands Amanda a glass of wine.
"Well, what's goin' on over here?" John Ross asks.
"Nothing," Bobby II says with a smile. "John Ross, you'd better not leave this beautiful lady alone for too long, or someone might just come along and steal her away." He winks at Amanda, then walks away as John Ross gives him an angry, disgusted look.
"Your family is just full of handsome, charming men I see," Amanda says, to John Ross's chagrin.
At that moment, more members of the family arrive in the form of Ray's daughter Margaret and her boyfriend Matt Culver. Ray walks over to greet his daughter. "Hey, sweetheart," he says, kissing Margaret on the cheek. "Matt."
"Hi, Daddy."
"Hello, sir," Matt says, shaking hands with Ray.
"I'm glad you two made it."
"Daddy, we have some news," Margaret says.
"Well I sure hope it's good news."
"It is," Margaret says, holding out her hand to reveal an engagement ring. "Matt asked me to marry him last night."
"Well.....that's just great!" Ray says happily, congratulating Matt with a handshake. "I couldn't be any more proud than I am right now hearin' that news."
Meanwhile, as Charlie's son Alex finally seems to be coming out of his shell talking to Randall, Jenna watches Charlie across the room and notices that her daughter seems very depressed. She's even more concerned when she sees Charlie grab her coat and walks outside. Watching her through the window, she sees Charlie as she walks over to the pool, looking as if she's deep in thought.
"Mom, are you okay?" Lucas asks, walking up to his mother.
"Yeah, Charlie does look really down, doesn't she? I guess that's to be expected, though. First Christmas since Phillip died."
"I get the feeling that it's more than that. Honey, would you talk to her? You two have always shared things. See if you can get her to tell you what's really on her mind."
"Okay. I'll do my best," Lucas says. He kisses his mother on the cheek.
Meanwhile, Bobby is in the living room chatting with Ray, Matt, and Margaret, congratulating the young couple on their engagement when the front doorbell rings. "Oh, excuse me," Bobby says. He steps into the foyer and opens the front door to find a young woman standing there with two small children who look to be about four and five years of age.
"Uncle Bobby?" The young woman asks.
"Yes?"
"I'm Elizabeth......Betsy. Gary and Val's daughter."
"Oh, Betsy, of course," Bobby says. "Please, come in."
"Thank you."
"Here, let me take your coat."
"Thanks," Elizabeth says.
"And who are these two little munchkins?" Bobby asks, looking down at the two small children.
"This is Laura, and this is Daniel, Jr., but we call him D.J.," Elizabeth introduces her children to their great-uncle as Gary and Val walk in.
"Oh, sweetheart, I"m so glad you could make it," Val says, hugging her daughter.
"Daniel wasn't able to get off, huh?" Gary asks his daughter.
Elizabeth sighs. "No. He's on call tonight and half a day tomorrow. That's the draw back to being married to a doctor. He insisted I come without him."
"Well Betsy, I'm glad you could make it," Bobby says. "Come on in and make yourself at home."
Meanwhile....
"Lucas, didn't hear you come out," Charlie says, wiping a tear from her cheek.
"Yeah, you were pretty deep in your thoughts, there, sis. Care to share?"
"Sounds like you still miss it," says Lucas.
"All the time. Especially lately. Those were some of the happiest days of my life. Carefree. I do miss this place."
"Then why not move here?" Lucas asks. "Charlie, what is there to keep you in New York anymore? Mom and Ray have moved back here. I'm here. This would be a much better place for Alex than New York. And I think you'd be happier here too."
Charlie turns away from her brother and starts to cry. "I have thought about it, ever since Mama told me they were moving back."
"Then do it. Charlie, do you know how happy it would make me to have my big sis here? And my nephew."
"We may have to move. By necessity," Charlie says, trying not to let Lucas see she's crying.
"By necessity? What do you mean?" He walks over to her. "Charlie, what's goin' on? Ever since you arrived you've been so depressed. I know it's your first Christmas without Phillip, but Mom and I both think it's more than that."
"It's Alex," Charlie says. "I worry so much about him."
"His behavior?" Lucas asks.
"Not just that. Lucas, my son is fifteen-years-old, and he just lost his father eleven months ago and now, he may lose his mother, too."
Charlie looks at her brother, her eyes filled with tears. "I got the news right after Thanksgiving. Lucas, I'm dying. I have cancer."
Lucas's mouth drops open in shock as he tries to process what his sister has just told him. He grabs Charlie and embraces her.
Tripp McKay's apartment.....
"Maybe that's Tripp," Carter says.
"I doubt it, ringing his own doorbell." Tracey walks to the door and opens it to find Pamela there. "Oh, Pamela," she says.
"Hi, Tracey, Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas to you. Please come in."
"Thanks," Pamela says, walking in.
"I thought you were still in Mississippi with your family," says Tracey.
"I was, but I wanted to be with Tripp. Where is he?"
"Been there for hours," Carter adds.
"The cemetery? Hunter's grave?" Pamela asks.
"Yes. We all went out there after my father got out of the hospital this morning and put flowers on Hunter's and my brother Tommy's graves, and Tripp wanted to take separate cars so he could stay longer. Thought sure he'd be home by now. Today's a very hard day for him. Not only is it Christmas Eve, but today is also Hunter and Tripp's birthday."
"Oh my God," says Pamela. "I....I had no idea it was his birthday. Where is the cemetery?"
Sparkman-Hillcrest Cemetery, Dallas
THOMAS W. McKAY (1961-1989)
Then he looks at his brother's grave next to Tommy's:
HUNTER CARTER McKAY (1986-2014)
Tears stream down Tripp's face. "Hunter," he says. "I know we didn't always get along, but I miss you. I miss you like hell. Especially today. I promised you when I first came to Dallas that I was gonna make those pay who were responsible for your death. Well, looks like they paid. But I'm still gonna make the Ewings pay. Not only for you, but for our father, too. Somehow. Some day."
Pamela walks up behind Tripp as he stands at his father's and brother's graves. She silently watches him for a few seconds, then he hears her and turns around.
"Pamela," he says. "What are you doing here?"
"I went by your apartment. Your Aunt Tracey told me you were here."
"Yeah. I been out here a long while. Just talkin' to my dad and my brother."
"Tripp, why didn't you tell me that today was your birthday?" Pamela asks.
"I'm so sorry," says Pamela.
"Last year, we all had Christmas at my Granddad's house. Hunter and I got into a fight. I don't even remember what the fight was about now. I guess it wasn't important. I have so many regrets with him, Pamela. So many things I wish I'd said, and wish I hadn't said."
"I think we all have those. I know I do."
"I haven't even asked you how your family's doing."
"They're holding up. Everyone's still at my grandma's house in Biloxi."
"Then what are you doing here?" Tripp asks.
Pamela gently touches his face. "I wanted to be with you."
Tripp looks at her and manages a slight smile.
"Come on," she says. "Let's go back to your place and have Christmas dinner with your grandfather and aunt." Tripp nods and Pamela smiles.
"Let's go," he says.
"Tripp, would it be okay if I asked my father to come over, too? He's spending Christmas all alone at my apartment."
"Sure, Why don't you call him?"
Pamela smiles.
Back at Southfork....later
Lucas nods, but Emma is unconvinced that he is really okay given the look on his face.
The living room is completely full of the almost the entire Ewing family and a few friends, consisting of Bobby, Christopher, Emma, John Ross, his guest Amanda, Ray, Jenna, Charlie, her son Alex, Lucas, Gary, Val, Lucy, Bobby II, Elizabeth and her two children, James, Debra Lynn, Jimmy, Ashley, Margaret, her now fiance Matt Culver, Jillian, and ranch hand Randall McCoy. Sue Ellen and Ann are finishing up with dinner.
As the large group noisily chatters away, Sue Ellen walks in. "Everyone, please!" She says as loud as she can. "Dinner is ready."
"Hey did everybody hear that?" Bobby shouts over the noise. "She said dinner's ready!" He says to cheers from the group. "Wait a second, everybody! Before we go in to eat, I'd like to say a few things."
"Awww, come on, Bobby, we're all starving here," Gary jokes.
"It'll only take a minute. First of all, I wanna thank each and every one of your for bein' here on this very special Ewing Christmas. I especially appreciate those of you who had to travel a great distance to be here. It really means a lot to have this many members of the Ewing family together under one roof for the first time - EVER! Mama and Daddy would be very proud right now if they could see this house filled with all of their grandchildren, and now, even their four great-grandchildren. We have an awful lot to be thankful for."
"Bobby, are you about done with your little speech?" Ann asks, walking in. "Because dinner will be cold."
"Okay, okay," he says with a smile. "The boss lady has spoken."
As the family starts to file into the dining room and other areas designated for the overflow to eat their dinner, the front doorbell rings.
"Wonder who that can be?" Ann asks. "Were we expectin' anyone else?"
"Not that I know," replies Bobby. "You go on, and I'll answer it." Bobby kisses his wife, then heads into the foyer. He opens the front door and is stunned to find Cally Harper - J.R.'s second wife - at the door.
"Cally?? Oh my gosh, Cally, come in," Bobby says.
Cally walks into the house and Bobby kisses her on the cheek.
"I can'y believe it," he says. "You look great."
"Thank you, and so do you," says Cally.
"Please, come in, we were just about to sit down to dinner, and you're more than welcome to join us." Bobby takes her by the hand and leads her into the dining room where most of the family has already taken seats around the table.
"OH, CALLY!!!" Lucy screams with joy at the sight of her old friend. She quickly gets up and runs over to hug her. "My God it's so great to see you."
"You too, Lucy."
Sue Ellen also walks over. "Cally, we're so happy you're here. Bobby, did you know she was coming?"
"No, this is as much a surprise to me as it is to you."
"I'm real sorry," Cally says. "Bobby, I didn't know you were gonna have a house full, and I really didn't mean to interrupt your Christmas."
"Cally, that's nonsense," Bobby says. "You're more than welcome. But I am surprised to see you, though. What are you doin' here?"
"I came to find my son," Cally replies.
"Your son?" Sue Ellen asks.
"Yes," Cally says, looking across the room at Randall McCoy. "My son."
Bobby and the rest of the room also look around to Randall, who smiles. "Cally, your son?" Bobby asks. "Are you sayin' that...."
Bobby's mouth drops open in shock, as does the mouths of everyone in the room who hears Randall's stunning announcement that he is yet another of J.R.'s offspring come home to Southfork....everyone seems shocked, however, except Jimmy Beaumont.....
